It starts with
an idea.

The butterfly effect describes how even the smallest difference can lead to an entirely different outcome.

WHY K.OS THEORY

One idea can change
your trajectory.

I believe choosing to follow an idea can change your path in ways you can’t predict. A question becomes a conversation. A prototype reveals a possibility. You discover a direction you couldn’t see before you started.

k.os takes its name—and its Lorenz-inspired logo—from chaos theory, where tiny differences in starting conditions can lead to very different outcomes. That’s the inspiration behind my practice: stay curious, take the first step, and pay attention to what you learn.

When I say “embrace the chaos,” I mean stay open to how you get there. I’ll take your ambition seriously, tell you what I think, and challenge complexity that doesn’t serve the idea.

HOW I CAN HELP

From the first question
to what comes next.

I’m KJ. I help founders, creatives, and agency teams test ideas and build them out. That means working prototypes, full-stack development, technical consulting, and brand identity—depending on what the project needs.

Find the direction.

What are you trying to change, and who is it for? I help clarify the goal, question assumptions, and decide what’s worth making.

Make it tangible.

Through design and working prototypes, I help you explore an idea before committing to a full build—from e-commerce experiences to interactive tools.

See it through.

I can build alongside you or guide execution with your team, working through technical tradeoffs, keeping costs in view, and protecting what makes the idea yours. As launch approaches, I help shape how you introduce it and plan for growth.

Boulder Bin sculpting studio showing a textured stone bin, sculpting controls and STL export
FEATURED / STRATEGY + PROTOTYPING

Boulder Bin.

His vision.
In his hands.

Working with Erik Saevi on a stone-inspired bin, I saw a bottleneck: every change to the rock’s shape would need another modeling handoff. I built a browser-based sculpting tool so he could shape it himself and send the model back to me. More creative control, with fewer steps between an idea and a form we could work with.

Get closer.
Know the product.

For TOMBOGO’s Journey Bag, I wanted people to feel confident in the bag they designed. We added realistic views of the bag and its parts alongside the 3D rendition, so customers could picture how their choices would look on the actual product. The aim was to give them enough detail to explore freely and stand behind their design decisions.

02 / ART DIRECTION + DIGITAL STORYTELLING

Made by Hand.

Keep the
human marks.

For Erik Saevi’s multimedia journal, I explored how the web could carry the feeling of something made by hand. This concept brings photography, print textures, and handwritten marks together to give his stories a place that feels like his own.

YARD.

Give the vision
a foundation.

Kharma brought the interface and vision for YARD. My work focuses on the system underneath: organizing rental listings, matching properties, and connecting them to nearby campuses, including Spelman and Morehouse. It’s the technical foundation for a housing search she can keep building on.

What are you
thinking about?

Tell me what you want to make, what you’re trying to change, or where you’re stuck. You don’t need a finished brief. I’ll bring an honest perspective, and we can figure out the next step together.
